A Summer of Baseball (T-ball)

Here are some baseball collages to capture Robin's first summer of T-ball
To find Robin, look for his red tennis shoes

First practice, June 18

First game, June 22

Third game (yes, I somehow completely didn't take pictures during the second)
July 13

Fourth game, July 20th

Fifth game, July 27

Some pics of Liam during game 5
Liam is very eager to play, and we'll probably enroll him next summer

Sixth game, August 3

Last practice, August 6
Robin even managed to hit a few balls that were thrown to him at this practice.
He also showed his greatest interest in the game at this one.

Liam at the last practice--he hits pretty well.
In fact, most of the time he shows more interest than Robin.

Liam at the final game
He practiced batting after just about every game, and got to be pretty good
(I just didn't take pictures every time.)
They gave him a medal as an honorary team member, since they had extras

Seventh and final game, August 10
He received a participation medal at the end of the game

Robin tended to wilt in the heat, so he was often more enthused about practice (at 6:00 in the evening) than the games (Saturday mornings.)  His interest in the game seemed to grow as his skills improved, which makes sense.  He says he's interested in doing it again, although we often had to prod him to participate during games.  We'll have a bit of a conundrum next year, because his best friend is moving up to Coach Pitch, and we're not sure what to do with Robin yet.  He would definitely benefit from more time in Tball, but he'll have to advance if he wants to stay with his friend.  Of course, we don't even know how well the boys will stay friends over the course of the next school year either.  We'll probably practice at home during the winter, and see how things are going next spring.

Phew!  I got through the zillions of tball pictures!  Now I can move on with my life!
