Happy Easter

We decorated Easter Eggs using Kool-Aid this year.  I saw the idea online and decided to try it.  Here, Robin is helping to measure the water

Liam, of course, has to help, too

Robin took this video, so it's shaky, but here you can see Liam dipping an egg

Our city hosts an egg hunt every year, divvied up by age group.  We went again this year.

Robin getting ready to run off into the 3-4 year old section

Liam hunting for eggs with the 1-2 year olds

Our boys with their loot.

Robin pretending to be an Easter Bunny

I don't think I meant to take this shot, but it's kinda artistic (and no, it definitely wasn't Robin.)

Racing out to see what the Easter Bunny brought

Chocolate bunnies

The EB left eggs in the yard for the boys.  Liam pointed to each egg before picking it up

I was chasing Liam around through the whole hunt, trying to get a pic like this

.

Together with their eggs

We had a bunny breakfast.  Bunny fruit

And bunny pancakes

Then it was on to my parents' house, and egg hunt number two

Robin taught everyone the prayer he learned at preschool, which they sang before snack

I love Liam's expression in this picture

The boys had one MORE egg hunt before the day ended, with the eggs Grammy and Aunt Kat brought.  Can we say "spoiled?"

Grammy always gives out squirt guns for Easter, so Robin and Dean had a squirt gun fight in the back yard

Around Easter, Robin figured out how to pump on the swings by himself!

Happy Very Belated Easter!

hi

We recently discovered that our internet connection was way slower than what we were paying for, and probably has been for some time.  We're back up to our (sort-of) high speed again, so I'm hoping I'll get more done online now, including updating my blogs.  (Don't hold your breath too much, though.  I still have a lot going on at home to keep me busy.)

Everybody came to our house for Grammy's birthday in March.  During the afternoon, there was a lot of resting/napping going on.  (These two were watching Scooby Doo)

And Del... well, I guess he was just sleepy and borrowed a bed

Being the birthday girl means you get to lick the frosting beaters

Happy Birthday!

He's having such a hard time waiting for cake :(

Liam sledding with Ama

And with Poppa

As I recall, Robin didn't want to play outside on this day, so Liam got his grandparents all to himself

Over spring break, Robin having a playdate at his best friend's house

More sledding.  This time at this really big and awesome hill we discovered that is really near our house.

.

Robin is the farthest away spot.  We were really impressed that he was willing to go all the way down by himself without hesitation.  But see the closer orange spot?  That little girl ran right over him at the bottom.  Cue loss of self-confidence.  It took us forever to convince him to "get back on the horse."

He had to go with us a few times first

.

Liam went too, but never on his own.  Not yet.

.

At long last, Robin went by himself again

And he didn't get hurt!

Attempting to make a banana look like a hot dog for an "April Fool" joke on Robin's class (he had snack the day after April Fool's Day.)

Feeding the geese at our playgroup

These two have an on-again, off-again friendship.  I thought this sequence of photos was funny, though
