The Official Sixty and Sixty Photo

Del stopped by after work to get an official Sixty Years and Sixty Days photo. Aren't they a cute pair?

A Festive Time of Year

Robin's first visit with Santa went well. He slept in line and then woke up in order to tell Santa he wanted some empty cardboard boxes to play with for Christmas.

He's really starting to fill out the star bunting his Grandma Sue made for him.

He's getting bigger! You can see how much his head sticks above the bjorn now, as compared to his earlier bjorn photos from previous posts.

I believe that Robin is going to be right handed. When he's nursing, sometimes he gets his hands in the way when I'm trying to latch him, almost as though he's trying to pull me towards him. I've noticed that when his right hand is the one with the most room to move, his actions seem to be stronger.

Also, today when I was swaddling him I moved his bib up over his face to keep it outside of the blanket, and he used his right arm to move the bib back off his face. I don't know whether the motion was conscious, but he did it twice!

Sixty years and sixty days. Today is Grandpa Del's 60th birthday, and it just so happens that Robin is exactly 60 days old today as well. We couldn't have planned that if we tried! This photo is technically 59 and 59, since it was taken at Del's surprise birthday party yesterday, but who's counting?

Capturing a small smile on film! This is Robin and Zax, a teddy bear made for him by his Great Aunt Catherine. We think they're getting to be good friends.

Lastly, another amazing milestone. Robin has moved beyond the crawling of his early days and has moved on to flying!

Making the most of the cold

Robin enjoyed playing in the snow after Thanksgiving. He "helped" Mommy to make a snow baby. Just like a snowman, but smaller, with a carrot stick nose, a pacifier, and one of his hats.

Look what we found under our Christmas tree!

Posing together by the tree (although Robin is dead to the world just then.)

Daddy's coworkers threw a baby shower for Dean and three other new fathers at his work in early December. Eileen brought Robin in to show off during Dean's lunch hour. Here's Robin in one of the new bibs he got from the shower.

Special thanks to Cristin and Valerie who helped to organize, Victoria and Tom Cornell, John and Valerie Zigler, and everybody else who put gifts into the bag without labeling them!

Look at that cute face!

Good Morning!

Robin likes to yawn and stretch to start the day. Isn't he cute?
Can you see the differences in his face? The above photo was taken November 19, and the below one on December 10.
He's growing like a weed. Last week he weighed 8 pounds, 7.9 ounces and today he's at 9 pounds, 5.9 ounces. That's two ounces per day in the last week!

At Thanksgiving, he was 21 inches long, which meant he had grown two inches since birth (he was 5 weeks old at Thanksgiving.) Today, he measured 21 1/2 inches, so another half inch in two weeks. Like a weed, I say!

Today, Robin would like to show off his room to those who haven't had a chance to stop by and see it. The pictures go from left to right starting just to the right of the door. He's also started sleeping in his room for part of the night, as opposed to a bassinet in Mom and Dad's room. Our little boy is growing up!
