New milestone!

Yesterday evening, Robin reached another milestone. He sat up all by himself! Hooray! It was very wobbly and didn't last long, but up until yesterday he hadn't made it for more than two seconds. We're so very proud of him. He's filling his big shoes nicely!

He has also learned how to find his feet!

Look what we found in the Pampers box! Can we keep him?

Trying out his monkey high chair. This portable one is what we'll take with us to other people's houses and such.

At the end of March, we spend four days with Dean's family up in Estes Park.

It was the first time he'd spent more than one night away from home, and I don't think it went too badly. It definately messed with his schedule, but we hasn't a holy terror (most of the time!)

While we were there, his Grandpa Del discovered that he can stand by himself provided he has a couch to lean back onto!

After we got back from Estes, we had a fairly big snowstorm. It made for great outdoor fun the day after it was over!

Yes, Robin fell asleep in his bumbo chair outside!

We had a friend from the weigh-ins over. This is Robin and Christian holding hands.

The Ides of March

Robin is trying to drink Mommy's drinks now!

A little over a week ago we purchased a Bumbo chair, so Robin can sit upright without our help. It's been great, since he loves to be upright but can't do it by himself yet. Now he can be upright and I can have my hands free!

Little boy taking over a big bed!

He's already going after the cookies!

Somehow he managed to hook the links on his Daddy's pocket all by himself. Now he's got Daddy on a leash.

On Saturday, we went over to Brandon and Charli's house, to hang out and meet their son Tristan. (Brandon and Dean work together.)

Tristan is only three weeks older than Robin. They got to "play" together a bit, and I think we all had fun.

Staycation!

Last week Dean took a week of vacation, and we went around Colorado introducing Robin to some fun places.

Robin is taller than a dinosaur! (25 inches now!)

Dressed in his supersuit for superhero night at the Children's Museum (the staff all thought he was great, and said he was the youngest superhero they've seen!)

Milestone!!!!!

Guess what Robin did for the first time today? He rolled from his tummy to his back all by himself! Hooray! *clap clap clap clap*

The funny thing was, all the previous times that he's tried to push himself over, he's used his right arm to push and has been moving towards rolling over his left shoulder. But today, he rolled over his right shoulder and pushed with his left arm. I was so proud of him! I'm looking forward to repeat performances, and hopefully I can catch it on camera.

Hallelujah!

Robin has allowed us to sleep through the night without waking up for a feeding for nine out of the last ten nights! It's been so wonderful! And it really gives Mommy and Daddy a few more useful hours of the day!

On the other hand, he's gotten a bit more difficult because I believe he's starting to teethe. He's turned into a little faucet and gets quite a bit more fussy. We had a few really bad days when he screamed whenever we tried to put him down, so he stayed in Mom's arms all day long. Thankfully, he's also had some better days when he mostly has his old disposition back. I guess some babies can have teething symptoms for weeks and even months--I'm hoping it doesn't last too long!

He's been busy growing! He's now 24 inches long--two whole feet! (as of last night) and is more than twice the baby he was when he was born since he's over 13 pounds.

His grip has strengthened quite a bit, and he is now purposefully reaching for things and hanging onto toys. It's so much fun to watch him develop!

He has also started trying to flip onto his back while on his tummy. He hasn't made it yet, but sometimes he turns almost halfway!

Isn't he the cutest??!!!
