A Festive Time of Year
Robin's first visit with Santa went well. He slept in line and then woke up in order to tell Santa he wanted some empty cardboard boxes to play with for Christmas.I believe that Robin is going to be right handed. When he's nursing, sometimes he gets his hands in the way when I'm trying to latch him, almost as though he's trying to pull me towards him. I've noticed that when his right hand is the one with the most room to move, his actions seem to be stronger.
Also, today when I was swaddling him I moved his bib up over his face to keep it outside of the blanket, and he used his right arm to move the bib back off his face. I don't know whether the motion was conscious, but he did it twice!
Lastly, another amazing milestone. Robin has moved beyond the crawling of his early days and has moved on to flying!

Making the most of the cold

Good Morning!
Robin likes to yawn and stretch to start the day. Isn't he cute?
At Thanksgiving, he was 21 inches long, which meant he had grown two inches since birth (he was 5 weeks old at Thanksgiving.) Today, he measured 21 1/2 inches, so another half inch in two weeks. Like a weed, I say!
